The club will begin its season with the annual Lindsay Kent Memorial Fun Run in Stawell on Easter Sunday (April 4).
Stawell and Ararat Cross Country Club president Shevahn Healy said the event is generally well-received.
"It's a big community event that we always have that's open for everybody. We often have quite a few people participate while they're up for the Easter Carnival," she said.

"We've had to change location this year because of COVID restrictions. So, we're going to run it out of North Park this year. It usually runs from Stawell Racecourse."
The run includes both a three-kilometre and a five-kilometre track.
Ms Healy said this provides an opportunity for a wide range of participants.
"The five-kilometre track is a nice, challenging one," she said.
"It's a true trail run with some turns and a bit of a hill, whereas the three-kilometre is really family-friendly. It's a flat track and easy for people to handle with prams or dogs on leads and things like that."
OTHER NEWS:
The Lindsay Kent Memorial Fun Run is the first of 21 different runs the club has scheduled for 2021.
In addition to events held in Stawell and Ararat, there will be runs held in Great Western, Moyston, Warrak, and Rhymney.
The club will implement COVID-safe measures in line with Athletics Victoria's Return to Play rules in 2021.
Only three in-person events were held in 2020, but Ms Healy said members had embraced new and innovative ways of participating.
"We really wanted to keep the momentum going throughout the season," she said.
"We did 20 virtual runs in total last year, which is amazing."
The club's efforts to keep members engaged seems to have been rewarded, as membership numbers ahead of the upcoming season are substantial.
"It seems to be ramping up," Ms Healy said.
"We've got quite a few runners around Ararat that want to be part of the club.
"I'm quite excited to see who will be at the first run."
Stawell and Ararat Cross Country Club membership fee is $45
