Northern Grampians police have welcomed the hundreds of responses they have received with their Community Safety Survey and they're encouraging more people to contribute before it closes.

The six week survey, aimed at giving residents a place to share their community safety concerns is currently at its halfway point and closes on March 15.
Acting Senior Sergeant Eddie Malpas said around 200 hundred surveys had been completed so far. He encouraged more residents to share their thoughts on community safety through the survey.
"We want to know what community safety issues are concerning people across the Ararat, Northern Grampians and Yarriambiack local government areas," he said.

"We are really pleased that a large number of people have responded to the survey, which demonstrates to us how invested people are in community safety.
"With the survey ending on March 15, there is still plenty of time for people to jump on the website and complete the survey.
"The more surveys that are completed, the greater understanding we get as to what community safety concerns there are right across the broader community.

"The survey also provides us with information as to how people are made aware of policing news or crime issues, and whether they are confident in reporting matters to their local police.
"Survey can be accessed via the Engage Victoria website, or by accessing the Eyewatch - Northern Grampians Police Service Area Facebook page.
"There are also signs posted at various locations across the three LGAs with a QR code available to be scanned, taking people directly to the online survey."
