Two of the major meetings for the Northern Grampians Shire Council Shire Vision 2041 Roadshows have been forced to be postponed due the circuit-breaker lockdown imposed by the Victorian State Government.

On Wednesday February 17, the council planned to host the final community consultation, where the roadshow was to be on display at the Perry Room in the St Arnaud Town Hall from 9am to 11am and at the the Stawell Town Hall from 12pm to 2pm on Wednesday February 17.
However, the state government's circuit breaker lockdown prevented the meeting taking place and the council is now looking to announce a new date for meetings soon.

In the meantime, the closing date for the council's online survey has been extended to midnight on February 28.
Northern Grampians Shire Mayor, Murray Emerson, said it was a shame the roadshow had to be postponed but the safety of the community was paramount.

"We had to make the decision to put off the last two Shire Vision 2041 Roadshow Sessions in Stawell and St Arnaud to comply with government directions and keep everyone safe," he said.
"It is a real shame as we've had great turn-outs and input at our roadshow sessions last week so to lose that momentum is a bit disappointing.
"However, the Stawell and St Arnaud sessions will be rescheduled for as soon as we possibly can and I encourage everyone to jump online and fill out the survey so we can hear your thoughts about our region's future."
