The festival was scheduled to be held at Halls Gap from May 1-2, 2021, however Grape Escape organisers today announced they would be cancelling the event for the second consecutive year.
Grampians Grape Escape made the announcement through a post on its social media platform.
It stated it was difficult to plan the event given the unpredictability of the COVID-19 situation.
"With the uncertainty that surrounds 2021, we have no choice but to make decisions that will ensure the future of the festival," the statement read.
The events industry is currently in Phase 1 of a 3 phase Public Event Framework set by the State Government of Victoria.
"Phase 3 is expected to see a gradual return of free-standing events, like Grampians Grape Escape.
"It is, however, becoming increasingly difficult to plan for our May event as there are currently no details about what this gradual return will look like."
People who booked for the 2021 festival have the option of keeping their tickets for the 2022 Grampians Grape Escape.
It will be held from April 30 - May 1.
