Council is offering grants of up to $5,000 matched dollar for dollar with funding by local businesses to bring more life and colour to our streetscapes.
The program is available to local businesses and shop owners across the shire wanting to improve the appearance of their shop fronts by undertaking projects such as signage updates, modernising shop front materials, facade works and more.
Northern Grampians Shire Council Mayor, Murray Emerson, said the business beautification grants presented a great opportunity for our region to come back better than ever from the pressures of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

"It's been a really tough 12 months for our business community but here is an opportunity for businesses to take advantage of our grants to make sure they are ready and refreshed when we can welcome visitors back to our region," he said.
"The Business Beautification Program is a one for one grant so if you've been thinking about getting that new sign or painting your shop, but you couldn't quite justify the cost, let us help.
"Council wants to help ensure our retail and hospitality spaces as well as our streetscapes are equipped to show off our region's true welcoming beauty."
The grants are for eligible projects that are set to commence in March 2021 and are only applicable to businesses within the Northern Grampians Shire that have street frontage.
Before submitting an application, businesses should contact Council's Business Engagement Officer to discuss the project.
