As a result, the second last round of their home and away season was abandoned after lockdown restrictions were announced, meaning all cricket activity was abandoned until Wednesday February 17 11:59pm.
After its meeting, the association announced in both senior grades, the second last round would be deemed as a no result/drawn game, with three points awarded to each team.
In a statement released on social media the league said "the best case scenario is this is all over in five days and we can move on with the competition, but without knowing what will happen over the next 5 days or the next few weeks we see the above plan as the best way forward".
"The best interest of the association and the competition at heart and as we receive the latest information from the government and Cricket Victoria we will keep everyone updated and relay again the above information as it unfolds," the statement read.

The association also announced if the state government reopens the state, the remainder of the season will be played out as per the draw.
However, if restrictions remain which stop other games from being played the last round will be deemed as a no result/drawn game, with three points awarded to each team.
The association also announced contingency plans for the finals series, if restrictions were still in place during this time.
In normal circumstances, the semi-finals will be played as per ladder positions with the two winners going through to the grand final, but if the state is still in lockdown for this scheduled weekend the top two teams on the ladder will progress through to the grand final.
The league is intending to play A Grade grand final as per normal with a best of 3 days play over March 6, 7 and 8 with a one-day game for B Grade planned for March 6.

Sunday, March 7 and Monday, March 8 will be used as reserve days for the B Grade grand final if, for whatever reason, the game can not be played on Saturday, March 6.
If the state is still in lockdown for the planned grand final weekend, Saturday, March 13 will be made available for a one-day grand final for both grades. The winner of this game will be deemed the premiers of both grades.
If no grand final can be played, the highest team on the ladder at the end of home and away season ladder in each grade will be declared premiers of the 2020-21 season.
If a semi-final is played but no grand final can be played, the highest remaining team from the home-and -away ladder will be declared the premier of their respective grade.
