In the last 24 hours, Stawell received 52.8 millimetres and Navarre recorded 53.6 millimetres, with most of the falls occurring early Friday morning.
Stawell was heaviest hit between 3 and 4am, with 20.2 millimetres of rain falling in just 30 mins and 22.4 millimetres falling across the hour.
Despite the heavy rain, Stawell SES said they had received just one call for assistance to a house in Marnoo for flooding prevention.
Stawell SES are also prepared for the possibility of more call outs today, with the Bureau of Meteorology's weather warning issued for much of the state including the Northern Country, North Central, North East and parts of Central, Mallee, South West and the Wimmera.

Locations which may be affected include Geelong, Bendigo, Shepparton, Seymour, Maryborough, Ballarat, Wodonga, Stawell and Wangaratta
Widespread totals of 30 to 60 millimetres are expected, with isolated heavier falls of 80 to 90 millimetres possible.
The heaviest falls are more likely to be experienced with thunderstorms on Friday evening, before the chance of rain eases early Saturday morning.
The rain is from a deepening low pressure trough over western Victoria, which will cross the state later today, and this is combining with an infeed of tropical moisture from the upper atmosphere.
The State Emergency Service reminded residents if driving conditions are dangerous, safely pull over away from trees, drains, low-lying areas and floodwater. Avoid travel if possible and stay safe by avoiding dangerous hazards, such as floodwater.
