On Monday afternoon, at the Stawell track just down the road from her father's farm where she learnt the trade, Manning recorded her 4000th career win.
Manning has become the first female in the world to reach the magical milestone; an accolade that sits nicely alongside her status as the world's most winningest female driver/jockey.

Manning's win came on board a horse she trains herself, Glenavril King - who started the race as odds-on favourite.
"There's a lot of remembering I need to do. It's been a long time and there's been many highlights," she said post-race.
"Every win is always a good win, but there's always special ones out there. There are some really memorable ones out there.
"Everyone is special and today was even better because I always get stuck before a record.
"But it was nice to get there on a horse that we train and on my home track."
Manning's 4000th win comes almost 28 years since she won her first ever race.
Throughout her career she has conquered the world's best, racking up accolades and honours.
Manning was the first driver to win 300 races in a season in either New Zealand or Australia, and was also the first woman to drive a winner in both the Southern and Northern Hemisphere.
In 2013, Manning was inducted into the Harness Racing Victoria Hall of Fame, becoming the first woman to do so.
In 2019, she became the first female inducted into the Caduceus Club of Victoria's Living Legends, and only the 27th inductee, joining her father Peter who was inducted in 2006.
