PATCH ADAMS earned another country cup victory after winning Sunday's Seppelt Great Western Cup in a nail-bitting finish.
The eight-year-old got home by a nose in a photo finish with Diplomac Jack a hard-earned second, giving jockey Harry Coffey his second win in the race after Vianden's success in 2018.
Patch Adams' win is another country cup for the gelding, with the 2021 Great Western Cup joining his 2019 Apsley Cup at Casterton, 2019 Mt Gambier Gold Cup, 2018 Casterton Cup and 2017 Colac Gold Cup wins across his 75-start career.
It was a quiet day for Grampians trainers, as Andrew Bobbin's third-place in the Best's Eric Thomson Memorial Trophy with Trolleyed was the best result for the weekend.
