YOUNG tennis players were delighted to get up close to the Australian Open trophies as the 'AO on the Road' tour stopped off at Stawell Tennis Club on Tuesday.

Former Australian professional tennis player Sam Groth was on tour with the trophies and lined up to have a hit with some up and coming tennis players from the club.
Groth said his aim was to inspire young players to consider the possibility they could go to the next step in their tennis career.
"It's been a tough year for everyone in Victoria. It's going to be a bit of a different-look Australian Open, so it's a chance for us to bring the Australian Open to regional Victoria," he said.
