Buangor-Tatyoon and St Andrews will both be setting themselves for this weekend with valuable points on offer for both teams.

A win for Buangor-Tatyoon would push them clear into the top-two and just behind the ladder-leading Swifts-Great Western, while a win for St Andrews would keep them in the hunt for a top-two finish.

St Andrews will be fresh and ready to go after having one of their byes last week with Buangor-Tatyoon coming into the match after a dominant win against Pomonal.

After winning the toss and electing to bat first, Buangor-Tatyoon crunched 7-268 from their 40 overs around Ararat's Gordon Street Recreation Reserve.

Jarrod Blandford lead the way with a sublime 110 and was well supported by Jack Ganley's 63, with the pair putting on 114 runs for the fourth wicket.

The Buangor-Tatyoon bowlers then joined in the fun as Pomonal was skittled for 47 off just 21.3 overs.

Alexander McDougall was the leading bowler with 5-15 off his 8 overs, while Aston Allen chimed in with 3-5 off just 3 overs.

The win pushed Buangor-Tatyoon clear into second position on the ladder, but a loss to St Andrews will bring them back to the pack, while Pomonal remains at the bottom of the ladder with just one win to their name.

However, they will like their chances of a second win this season, as they take on a Youth Club, which was comprehensively beaten by Swifts-Great Western last round.

The Swifts-Great Western won the toss at Stawell's Central Park and chose make the most of the perfect conditions as they batted first and plundered 3-225 from their 40 overs.

Sam Cocks led the way with 113, while Jesse Eckel added an important and unbeaten 64.

Youth Club were on the back foot early losing both openers for less than 5, before Nic Baird steadied the ship with his 50.

However, there was no one other significant help as Youth Club were dismissed for 102 inside 30 overs.

Swifts/Great Western's Wil Clough dominated with the ball claiming 5-24 off his 8 overs, while Jayden McCartney was just as impressive with 4-21 of 5.5 overs.

Both Youth Club and Pomonal will be out to make amends for last week's losses with a strong result as they fight over a position in the top four.

After this week just four matches remain before the finals series begins.
