The Northern Grampians Shire Council has opened another round of applications to help support to locally based organisations with their projects.

The council said it wants the grants to support projects that demonstrate positive impact in health, wellbeing and community participation.
The council has also identified six key areas where they would like the allocate funding to help "local participation, economic vibrancy and wellbeing"
These key areas include "stronger partnerships, community grants, business support, events grants, minor grants and sponsorship and contribution".

For anyone that is interested in applying for the grants, they should contact the Community Development Team to "discuss your idea prior to completing an application, to ensure your application is allocated for the most suitable funding stream".
Only one application per organisation is permitted per financial year across all of the streams and submitted applications will be assessed monthly by the grants assessment panel.
Organisations interested in applying for funding, need to submit their applications between February 1 and March 15.
The panel meeting to assess applications received before 5 January, is on Wednesday 27 January 2021.
