Off leash areas for dogs offer the freedom of running without constraint, allowing them to play, sniff, chase, roll and romp to their heart's content.
Northern Grampians Shire Council ask residents to keep in mind when exercising your dog in an off leash area, dog owners must:
- Remain within voice or hand control distance of your dog at all times.
- Carry a bag or similar device to remove and dispose of your dog's waste.
- Not allow your dog off leash if it doesn't respond to your call.
- Stop your dog from being a nuisance or aggressive towards other dogs, people, or wildlife.
- Not allow your dog to interfere with the enjoyment of other people or dogs using the area.
- Not allow your dog to run on turf cricket pitches.
- Ensure your dog is microchipped, registered, and vaccinated.
- Carry a leash at all times and use as required.
