NGSC chief executive Liana Thompson thanked Mrs Hyslop for her time with the council.
"We are very grateful for the years of service Mrs Hyslop has given to the communities of our shire and the dedication she has shown in her efforts to improve the lives of the people of our region," she said.
"She will be missed in the council chambers but we wish her all the best for her future endeavours and hope she continues to play an active and important role in the future of our shire."

Councillors for the new NGSC took the oath/affirmation of office at the Statutory Council meeting on Monday.
Ms Thompson wrote to the Minister for Local Government and the VEC on Monday to inform them of Ms Hyslop's resignation.
The resignation of Ms Hyslop will trigger a by-election in the Kara Kara Ward with a date to be determined by the VEC in the coming days.
