The Buereau of Meteorology has forecast 10-20mm for parts of the Wimmera coming in the afternoon and evening on Saturday, with isolated falls of 20-40mm further north west.
Fresh north-easterly winds with gusts of up to 90-100kmh are also likely in the Grampians.
BOM senior forecaster Christie Johnson said there could also be "severe storms", hail, and damaging wind reaching parts of the Wimmera.
"We're expecting showers to move into the north west in the morning on Saturday and extend across in the afternoon," she said.
"We are expecting the risk of severe storms, damaging wind gusts and possible hail most likely over the far north-west, but there is a chance through parts of the Wimmera."

"With restrictions easing, more people are now free to travel around regional Victoria but we're really encouraging people to monitor conditions and take care particularly on Saturday afternoon and evening," they said in a statement.
It's also the start of school holidays so we're expecting a number of people are planning to camp in popular locations this weekend. We encourage people to avoid setting up camp under trees or on low-lying areas alongside creeks or rivers."
