At approximately 10am he had a limb fall almost across his driveway.
Mr Heenan said as a former public servant himself he called Northern Grampians Shire Council with "not a great deal of expectation".

"To my surprise, I received wonderful service from the beginning," he said.
"At about 10.30 I rang up and spoke to the customer service person and within two hours I had someone come and look at it from the Shire.
"He told me he believed the rest of the limb needed to come down."
Mr Heenan said by about 2.30pm the job was finished.

"It blew me away how accommodating everyone was," he said.
"It was so professional. When I was a public servant I didn't know many who would go out of their way to help a person if there wasn't something in it for them.
"Not everyone was like that - but it was known.
"This job was the case where you rang up and they said would do something and before you knew it, it was all done."
