Take your pick from at least three roadhouses/hotels in the wider Katherine region looking for a new owner.
There's the Heartbreak Hotel on the way to Borroloola, the Emerald Springs Roadhouse on the Stuart Highway near Pine Creek or the Top Springs Hotel towards the WA border.
All three are listed by Nutrien Harcourts in Katherine.
Heartbreak Hotel, perched on the intersection of the Tablelands and Carpentaria highways, is listed for expressions of interest.
Just over a 100km from Borroloola and 280km to Daly Waters, the roadhouse is about as remote as it gets.
"Booming with mining Heartbreak is a popular getaway for those living on nearby mining sites, delivering equipment to sites and when additional accommodation is required for staff at the mines Heartbreak can become a mining village overnight," the property listing states.
The Emerald Springs Roadhouse has been a popular stop on the journey into the Top End just outside Pine Creek.
It has been particularly important for travelers with the closure of the nearby Hayes Creek roadhouse.
Offers are invited over $725,000 for the roadhouse sitting on almost three hectares and surrounded by amazing bushland.
Top Springs Hotel is asking for offers over $3 million for the large property on the intersection of the Buchanan and Buntine highways.
The hotel last came to the attention of the Katherine Times early last year when a two metre freshwater crocodile made a surprise visit to the back door.
There is not a body of water close to it for more than seven kilometres.
