In a delegates meeting on Wednesday night, the motion was passed to introduce the new ruling as the old ruling would not stand up to the fast-paced nature of the coronavirus.
"Our old laws states that each decision made would need to go out to club delegates and come back to the committee and voted on if changes to the season needed to be made," association president David Turner said.
"It was decided that old process would take too long and wouldn't suit the season we could be conducting this year. We have made it very clear it is only for this season, if one was to go ahead."
Mr Turner said a date was set for the AGM, to be hosted in two weeks on September 16.
He also suggested if a season was to take place it would start late October, early November - restrictions permitting.
