Sadly, a further eight Victorians have lost their lives to the virus.
The announcement would come as positive news to many in the state, after Victoria experienced its deadliest day of the pandemic yesterday.
On Wednesday, the state recorded 21 deaths and 410 new cases.

IN OTHER NEWS:
No new cases were reported in the Northern Grampians yesterday, however one active case remains.
Meanwhile, DHHS figures showed one person in Ararat has now recovered. There are no longer any active COVID-19 cases in Ararat.
On Wednesday, Horsham marked two weeks without a new COVID-19 case. Four active cases remain.
Two active cases remain in West Wimmera.
