Stawell Craft Shop has limited amounts of some supplies customers can purchase to help keep up with the demand.
Craft shop owner Mandy Murphy said she had been "inundated" with customers purchasing supplies for masks.
"I've had to place a five-metre limit on elastic as that is the hardest item for me to source right now," she said.
"Most companies have sold out as Melbourne was ahead of us when the recommendations of wearing masks came through.
"We were lucky enough to have quite a bit on hand and we still have quite a few types of elastic. It might not be quite what you want but it would do the trick.
OTHER NEWS:
"I've had customers from all over the region calling me for supplies. I just can't keep up at the moment."
Sandi Rickard made more than 150 masks in three days - sold out after orders coming in "thick and fast".
"It takes about 15 minutes to make each mask and I'm making them with all different patterns and even some small ones for children as well," she said.
"I can't locate the elastic anywhere. All the shops around the region have been cleaned out. I've even got people I know searching in New South Wales for me.
MORE NEWS:
"I've ordered some online but I won't be able to make many more until that comes in."
Ms Rickard said her masks will be stocked in Sneek a Peek in Stawell.
"The masks are made out of cotton and flannelette," she said.
"My mum came up with the pattern idea. We like the idea of the reusable masks which you can wash up, it saves so much rubbish with the throw-away type.
"My mum taught me how to sew. I haven't had the sewing machine out for more than three years."
