IPads have been purchased to assist residents to communicate between each other, family and friends.

Visiting restrictions have been placed on the retirement village due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"Being socially isolated can be extremely tough for residents at this time," chief executive Sue Blakey said.

"Eventide residents have quickly adapted to video calls and look forward to chatting to family and friends, and they especially like being able to see their loved one's faces.

"The benefits to residents to be able to access families during this ongoing period of uncertainty is paramount, they get to visit family homes, chat with grandchildren, even check out the new garden from the comfort and safety of their room.

"We would like to express our gratitude to the Stawell Gold Mines Community Grants Committee for their generosity in contributing to this project."
