Tom Eckel has again pledged his commitment to the club, re-signing as senior football coach, with Jay Moody announced as his assistant.
It has been a long off-season for the football community, with the coronavirus pandemic causing chaos and ongoing delays.
Club president Tim Williams said it was good to get the coaches locked in early.
"The club is very excited to announce Tom as senior coach and Jay as his assistant," he said.
MORE NEWS:
"It's an advantage the players being both local. It fits well within our theme of local players this year.
"An early appointment really puts us in a fantastic position to start recruiting early and working towards 2021."
Eckel previously coached the Warriors' senior team in 2017 and rejoined the club in 2019 after a one-season stint with SANFL club Glenelg.
"I'm really excited to continue on what we had started before we had this disaster with coronavirus," Eckel said.
"We had somethings set in place in terms of game plans and everyone's mindset was really positive.
"We were heading in the right direction so it was a pretty easy decision."
The Warriors momentum for the year was halted in June, when the Wimmera Football League season was abandoned. Crowd attendance restrictions was one of the major reasons for the decision.
"Coaching first time round at the club was hard - I definitely learned a lot of things," Eckel said.
"I think this time around it will be easier. I will be able to navigate some of the expectations with more experience."
Moody said he felt like there was unfinished business.
"I felt over the pre-season and coming into the season everyone really bought into the direction we wanted to go as a club," he said.
OTHER NEWS:
"We were pretty excited. There was some talk we lost some players over the pre-season, but we felt like our core group was really excited with the game plan we put in place.
"All the players were really positive to see the game plan be put into action."
Moody said the player's commitment while restrictions were imposed showed the fantastic mindset of the playing list.
"That was a driving force behind my decision to have another crack at a coaching role," he said.
"I've done other roles in the past but this is my first official role in coaching and hopefully it leads to more opportunities in the future.
"I'm confident with the support around me as well. We are a young group and when I took on the role it was a bit strange. Everyone was the same age or just a bit older so of course, there were the feelings of, 'Would I gain the respect of the playing group?'
MORE NEWS:
"It sounds like they do, and having Tom leading the team - it's an exciting time to be part of the club."
The Warriors will recommence training in the "near future" once the coaches have had the opportunity to have conversations with the players.
"We'll work on a date pretty quickly," Eckel said.
"For any player and especially younger players in senior ranks, a whole season off and missing out of 12 months of game experience is massive.
"Especially as a young kid playing alongside men. I think we will be okay in that situation. We've got enough players who have played enough senior football to support the young players.
"Our younger players are super fit and have kept up that fitness. I think we'll be okay looking towards future seasons because their heads are in the right space."
