I do. It's dates, and not the kind eHarmony or Tinder can facilitate.
My odd interest is calendar dates, specifically the ones that make a sum.
Yesterday was one such day: July 13, 2020, or as it's also written, 13/7/20. As we all know, 13 + 7 = 20.
The next one of these dates is due two weeks from now, on 27/7/20, when 27 - 7 = 20.
Perhaps I'm trying too hard to make sure I'm using the maths I learned in school in my adult life (I know calculators are a thing, incidentally), but I've deduced there are no less than 27 days in 2020 that are what I like to call maths dates.
MORE NEWS:
Trust me, once you start paying attention to these numerically nifty days, it generates as much interest and anticipation as waiting for the next full moon.
We had a string of three days in a row to start off the maths dates in 2020, January 19th (19/1/20), 20th (20/1/20, a simultaneous multiplication AND division maths date which January will give us one of every year until 2031) and the 21st (21/1/20).
We've had three of the four maths dates for which multiplication is the function this year, they being January 20, February 10 and April 5, with the last this year occurring on October 2 (2/10/20).
There were far fewer maths dates in 2019, because 19 is a prime number. 19/1/19 was the only multiplication OR division day, while 2019 was the last year this century there will be two maths dates in December given there are only 31 days that month (31/12/19).
The last addition maths date is due New Year's Eve 2043 (31/12/43) and the last maths date of the century happens on November 9, 2099 (9/11/99).
Sometimes, and perhaps especially during a pandemic, it becomes easier to find special aspects in the most ordinary, everyday occurrences.
