Organised by Port Macquarie's Miss Pinup Australia award winner, Dale Velvet-Rose (Dale Mac Millan), the competition aimed to capture life in isolation.
Entrants from Australia, Canada, the United States and New Zealand have taken part and styled and groomed their vintage look to match an iso-activity they enjoy most.
"The response has been amazing," Miss Dale Velvet-Rose said.
"Each entrant had to do a pinup routine at their house in in their yard, dressed in daywear and show how they are getting through self-isolation. That can be anything from cooking to gardening, fixing the car or playing with pets."
Judging will look at all aspects of pinup from styling to theme before the 10 finalists will go head to head on Saturday where a winner and runner-up will be selected.
Miss Dale Velvet-Rose first became involved in Pinup during the Wintersun event in Port Macquarie in 2012. The following year she competed in her first Miss Pinup Australia.
But her love of the era stems from her parents who were 6 o'clock rock fans while her mother was an Elvis fan.
Pinup goes back to the 1940s and '50s and captures a time when war time pilots pinned photographs of Betty Gable to their Lancaster bombers.
Today, the tradition complements car shows, music festivals - including Port Macquarie's Beatles Festival and Port Panthers' Rockin' Retrofest - and other events that depict that era.
Miss Dale Velvet-Rose says there is a strong support-base among participants and connects women around the world.
"I have friends around the world and we are in regular contact. It's like a very strong sisterhood," she said.
Dale has organised hair and make-up workshops around NSW and in Port Macquarie during the year, and has organised Pinup competitions and fashion shows on the Mid-North Coast.
The winners will be announced on the Facebook event page Miss Self Isolation during an online package of entertainment from 12 noon Saturday, May 2.
