The former Minyip resident moved to the Wimmera for a treechange when her children were young before falling in love with Horsham.
"It's so beautifully kept and a nice sized place," she said. "I wrote the poem because we're all part of a lovely place I just thought it was a bit encouraging if we all thought of it (beating coronavirus) as a team effort.
"I think I'd really love to see Horsham free from it and I just sort of thought with the size of this town if we all rallied together maybe we could pull it off."

Mrs Hazelden said she has been a poet for many years and had been thinking about penning something about the pandemic for a little while.
"It didn't take long to write but I had given it some thought," she said. "It appears that the majority of us are all doing the best we can compared to other countries."
Mrs Hazelden said like everybody she has had to make sacrifices, having cancelled a family get together at Easter due to state of emergency restrictions. Instead she will do video calls with her loved ones.
"You have to do it for safety's sake but you do have these plans in mind," she said. "I think that's what everybody is finding just a little bit hard, you can't plan because no one knows the future."
Beating coronavirus
Come on Horsham we can do this,
We can stop corona in its tracks,
Let`s show others how it`s done
This is no time to relax.
Let`s all follow the golden rule,
Let`s obey the advice we`re given,
Let`s continue our reputation
Show people how Horsham is driven.
May our hospital beds stay empty,
Let`s preserve our beautiful town,
We can all stick together as one on this
And not let anyone down.
Life will get back in time we know,
We want everyone there at the end,
So look after yourselves and others
While our world is on the mend.
