The festivities will be spread over four days from March 6 to 9, with highlights including the return of the Rupanyup Show, a farmers market and a Sunset Banquet, similar to the town's famous Barley Banquet.
Rupanyup Major Events organiser Ash Teasdale said the set-up was in full swing.
"The marquee went up yesterday for the Sunset Banquet," he said. "There's about 320 guests booked in for that.
"The main street is all well mowed and the street sweeper is coming through."
The event begins on Friday with tea, coffee and registrations in the Rupanyup Memorial Hall from 3pm. Saturday and Sunday registrations would be from 9am.
Most of the events are free but require a gold coin donation to help cover costs, which can be place into tins around the town.
Mr Teasdale said the official opening would commence at 5.30pm at the hall steps, with speeches and an unveiling of a plaque and new chainsaw art.
"The last few months there has been a bit of a project with chainsaw art along the main street," he said. "The art being unveiled on Friday is of a farmer with his dog."
The opening would be followed by a film night at the hall featuring a number of productions including from Rupanyup Primary School, documentary film The Farmer's Cinematheque and historical footage of the town.
"My grandfather took all the (historical) footage as well as my great grandfather," Mr Teasdale said. "They always had a camera and wherever there was any event in town they would film something."
