A MELBOURNE woman is awaiting a summons to court after she was caught driving 112km/h in a 60km/h in Great Western Sunday morning.

The woman, in her mid-20s, was intercepted by police about 4.20am while speeding along the Western Highway on her way to Adelaide.
Senior Constable Mitch Kohn said the woman tested negative for both drugs and alcohol.
Police interviewed her for offences of driving at a dangerous speed and exceeding the speed limit by 45km/h or more.
