The change was announced in a statement by Parks Victoria on Monday as a move to "explore future options to reinvigorate" the centre in Halls Gap.
The centre is operated by Brambuk Living Cultural Centre Co-operative, however its operating permit expires on June 30.
Three Traditional owner groups have been formalising arrangements to form a strategic partnership committee with representatives from Gunditj Mirring Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation, Eastern Maar Aboriginal Corporation and Barengi Gadjin Land Council.
The committee will provide direction on the future and ongoing management of the Brambuk centre by a Traditional owner organisation.
Parks Victoria Regional Director Jason Borg said Parks Victoria was looking forward to working with the strategic partnership committee of Traditional owner groups.
"With the Grampians Peaks Trail and a new park management plan also on the horizon, it is an opportune time to look at how the centre can deliver long-term benefits to the local community, local businesses, Traditional Owners and the national park," he said.
Opened in 1989 as a hub for cultural learning, interpretation and Indigenous training, Brambuk consists of a Parks Victoria office, park information centre and Aboriginal cultural centre.
