The Grampians Music Festival will go ahead in late February as organisers work with emergency services to ensure the venue is safe for patrons.

The festival is scheduled to be held in Halls Gap on February 28 and 29 and will feature 20 music acts, including Julia Jacklin, Ecca Vandal and Clypso.
Grampians Music Festival director Carly Flecknoe said in a video posted to Facebook on Friday that the team was "devastated" by the fires that had occurred across the country.
"We also feel deeply for organisers of other regional festivals that have been impacted by these events and know that they've made decisions to cancel or postpone for the safety of their patrons," she said.
Mrs Flecknoe said the Grampians Music Festival would be happening as planned but the organisers were taking safety precautions.
"Patron safety and a positive experience has always been paramount in the planning of GMF and it will continue to be so," she said.
"We will stay in touch with emergency services in the lead up to the festival and take all guidance we are provided and communicate this back to our patrons."
Mrs Flecknoe's message comes after Rainbow Serpent Festival in Lexton was postponed for safety reasons after fires in December burnt about 3000 hectares, affecting festival infrastructure.
Rainbow Serpent Festival organisers announced plans to hold the 2020 Festival in two stages, with a one-day event in Melbourne on January 26, and a second event at Lexton over Easter.
Mrs Flecknoe also said it was important that people continued to visit the Grampians and other tourist destinations, which have seen a decline in visitor numbers due to smoke drifting into the region and media coverage of bushfires.
"While this is a scary time for all we still want to encourage people to visit regional Victoria, including regional festivals like GMF," she said. "We look forward to seeing you at the end of February."
Mrs Flecknoe said Grampians Music Festival would be participating in fundraising initiatives to support areas impacted by bushfires.
