Landsborough have had a good team building year and often have two of the three rinks right in the mix, but will find the in form Aradale too strong at home.
Stawell after its first loss for the season will be back at home against the Ararat team who have also found it hard to get many wins on the board. The Stawell team will be keen to get back on the winners list and should be too good at home.
The next two matches are very important in the makeup of the top four. V.R.I will host Lake Bolac and with the two teams sitting second and fourth on the ladder any loss could be costly.
The VRI side will be getting used to their new green and should be too strong for the Bolac side.
In the last match for the round Chally will be at home to the Stawell Golf side. Chally are sitting just outside the top four and a win could see them in the four at the end of the day but a loss could see them drop a spot and make it difficult for them to make the finals. Golf are safe in the four for now and a top two spot may still be a possibility with a win.
This one is too hard to pick a winner and should be a top match.
Division 2
Ararat Gold will be at home again this week and will play the top Lake Bolac side Black.
The Ararat Gold side will give themselves a good show of knocking off the visitors on their carpet but will need to improve their form from last week.
Black received a forfeit last week and will be keen to get back on the green.
The top side Stawell Gold will host the second side Stawell Golf Blue at Stawell this week in what could be a prelude to a potential finals match.
Both teams members play plenty of bowls on each other's greens so a tough, hard match should result with a close result expected.
Stawell Blue have been winning and staying in touch with the top four and this week will host Aradale, who have also been in good form lately. With the two teams sitting just outside the top four a win is vital to have a chance of playing finals. Aradale had to forfeit last week which cost them a bit of momentum but should be back on the park this week.
The Lake Bolac Red side will be glad to be back at home after a big loss last week and will play V.R.I in what should be a close match, both teams are unlikely to be able to make the top four but will be looking to start building on next year's team.
Stawell Golf Gold suffered a costly loss and slipped to fourth from second on the ladder. They are back at home and will play Ararat Green, who are playing some good bowls. A win for Golf is essential if they want to stay in the four.
