Cox was named in the V/Line Cup's honorary team of the tournament for his performances throughout the carnival, the announcement seals off a successful year for the young footballer.
"I was involved with the tryouts for the team through the 50-player under-15 Western Bulldogs Next Generation Academy squad," Cox said.
"We played in two trail games and players were selected from those games to go to Shepparton at the annual junior competition."
"We played a couple of games in Shepparton and were part of some information sessions.
"There was a lot of information around wellbeing, teamwork and watched some of the game highlights and a lot of things were pointed out to us as well."
2019 was the first time Cox was selected in a representative side, the 15-year-old is in the process of trying out for a Greater Western Victoria Rebels team in 2020.
"I've been to a couple of training sessions and it's really intense and good quality training sessions," he said.
"I've also just started pre-season down at the Rats and looking forward to getting back into the full swing of football again."
