The anthology consists of poems and short stories, as well as a cover illustration by group member Lorna Simpson-Raeburn.
Taking place on December 7 at the Ararat Regional Library, Ararat mayor Jo Armstrong will officially launch it at 10am.
"We called it Land Lines, lines being an association with the lines of text and it's associated with the land either physically or as a metaphor," president Janice Williams said.
"One was a little anecdote of something that happened on the highway (for example), and because there's maybe a dozen (contributors), each with their own particular direction with writing, each one turned out differently.
"It's a sweet assortment."
It took the group about 18 months to put the book together, including going through the editing, printing and binding process. The group has self-published the book.
"We had it printed in Natimuk," treasurer Philippa Hale said.
As to the writers' own inspirations and favourite authors, names like Bill Bryson, Shakespeare, and Joyce Carol Oates were popular.
The group currently has about a dozen members and meets at the Great Western Hotel every second Sunday of every month at 2pm.
