In the domestic competition at Ararat highlights included two very different games played in the girls competition. Spurs ran out convincing winners 41-28 with a team effort on the scoring front with all members contributing to the final score. Conversely, a tightly contested match between Jazz and Magic again, with all members of the winning team contributing to the final score and Sabaya Woods lifting the team with some great defensive work we have seen lifting over the past few weeks.

The difference of 10 points and six points is all that separated the winning from losing teams this week with top scorers Zac Whitford (Bucks), Nate Dadswell (Kings), Mia Gardiner(Suns) and Riley McFarlane for wizards. A double for Riley Mcfarlane stepping on the scoring and defensive fronts after some early foul trouble from team mate Ollie Reynold.

Leads were swinging back and forth across both games with Rockets and Aztecs running out winners in this age division. Highlights included Charlie Preston leading a team effort for Aztecs shooting 16 points. Consistent play from Clippers had both teams scoring goal for goal in the first half, with Aztecs finally pulling ahead in the last five minutes to win. Rockets Jordan Cox and Alex van Opstal secured a tight win over Wolves by a four point margin, which could have gone either way up until the buzzer. Aiden Hateley was strong (and top scorer for Wolves) but it was not enough to get past Rockets.
