Yesterday, police made the arrest without incident on Longfield Street in Stawell at about 5.20pm.
It is alleged the man evaded police several times in the Stawell and Ararat areas.
The 25-year-old Illawarra man was interviewed by police and was charged with reckless conduct endangering life, reckless conduct endangering serious injury, driving in a manner dangerous and three counts of evade police.
He was remanded in custody and will appear at the Horsham Magistrates Court later today.
