Residents are encouraged to attend Woolworths carpark on October 16 between 11am-1pm.
Staff from Stawell Regional Health and Ambulance Victoria will be in attendance with information packs and will teach members of the community how to do CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED).
Australia sees approximately 30,000 out of hospital cardiac arrests each year, and only 1 in every 10 will survive.
Restart a Heart Day revolves around teaching the community the core of Basic Life Support - calling 000, early commencement of CPR, and early defibrillation, as this is proven to save lives and increase survival rates.
