On October 7 an offender has stolen a small amount of alcohol from the Farmers Arms Hotel on Kings Avenue and then caused damage at the neighbouring 626 Cafe.
Sergeant Bill Alford of St Arnaud said nothing was taken from the cafe.
"Then on October 9 we had another burglary at the Farmers Arms Hotel, with a small amount of alcohol taken," he said.
"A 22-year-old St Arnaud man has been apprehended on the premises (in relation to all three incidents) and charged and bailed accordingly."
He will appear before the court in St Arnaud in December.
Police are also seeking assistance over a third incident overnight on October 7, this time on Napier Street.
This time a large quantity of alcohol was taken.
"A large quantity of alcohol was taken from a restaurant site," Sergeant Alford said.
"We don't have any suspects at this time so we're seeking assistance (from the public)."
