Coleman Schache will lead the Southern Mallee Giants into their third Wimmera Football League campaign.
The 25-year-old has re-signed as the Giants' senior coach for the 2020 season.
Schache said he was excited to extend his tenure.
"I'm rapt to get the opportunity to go again from the club," he said.
"I've learned a lot over the past couple of years, and hopefully I can put that into place next season and improve."
Hopetoun-bred Schache moved to the Giants in 2017, returning home from the North Ballarat Roosters. He took on the top job the following year.
In his tenure, Schache has led the Giants to two Wimmera league grand finals.
"I'm loving it (coaching). I'm pretty lucky, we've got a good bunch of blokes up here," he said. "Off the field and around the footy club, there is a lot of support and a lot of help, so it makes my job easy. It was a no-brainer to have another crack at it."
Schache said it was helpful to have stability at the top, but he wasn't resting on his laurels.
"It's always good to have a stable coaching and playing group, but it's also good to have fresh ideas, so we'll look to get a few alternative opinions as well," he said. "We'll change a few things from this season to hopefully go one better next year."
Minyip-Murtoa was 25-point victors against the Giants in this year's showcase fixture, compounding the heartbreak of the 2018 grand final loss to Horsham.
Schache said he believed the playing group was capable of correcting the record, and he was hoping to have the majority of the list back for next season.
"At the moment we're just trying to retain our players and keep the majority of the group together," he said.
"We were happy with the group we had last season, and we'll obviously look to add a couple of players in as well.
"I think retaining players is the major key to success, in my opinion, so that's the main thing. If we can snag a couple of extras along the way, well, that's a bonus."
