Mrs Dearman succeeded Lisa Arnfield who stood down from the role in July.
The house boasts it builds a resilient and inclusive community, a vision which Mrs Dearman wants to expand and grow.
"The house is all about the community," she said.
"It's all about making sure people feel welcome. I volunteered here as the playgroup coordinator before I took on this role so I had an understanding of how the house operated.
"The atmosphere the house has when all the different people come together over a cuppa and biscuit can't be replicated."
Mrs Dearman said there were always plans and ideas - but it's just one step at a time.
"Every coordinator which comes into this role has their own personality and their own ideas," she said.
"I'm excited to bring what I can offer to the table and nurture it.
"My role is to develop and grow the programs which were put in place by Lisa (Arnfield) because what's she's done is phenomenal.
"I don't want to lose that. I want to develop it and grow, then introduce some new programs in the future."
Mrs Dearman described the Stawell Neighbourhood House as a heartbeat of Stawell.
"It's like glue to bring the community together," she said.
"All the different type of people who uses the house can sit around and have a chat.
"Without the heartbeat, you don't have a small community as we have."
