It didn't come without uncertainty for the Demons, a thrilling and suspenseful extra time being played as both teams weren't budging.
Minyip-Murtoa had the momentum throughout the game, catching the Demons off guard from the first few minutes of the game.
The Burras had a comfortable nine-goal lead in the first quarter which was held at eight at half-time.
The Demons picked up the pace in the second half, outscoring their counterparts in the third, 10-8.
The Demons fought hard in the fourth and at the last second, the Horsham goalie put up a shot as the siren sounded.
Players and supporters were stunned. The game went into overtime as the Demons managed to level with the Burras on the siren.
Demons coach Jodi Bigmore said she knew her players had the fight within them.
"We've been behind before - around the same, 10 goal," she said.
"We came through and won that game so I knew we had it in us to get over the line.
"It was pretty tense right until the very last moment of the game."
Goals were following centres at the beginning of extra time before errors started to flaw both team's games.
Demons consolidated opportunities but the Burras fought back and when the siren sounded on the two seven-minute halves of extra time scores were level once more.
Players stopped and changed ends and it was a race to see who was able to get two goals ahead to claim the victory.
A number of mid-court turnovers from the Burras allowed the Demons an opportunity around the goals.
The Demons crowd cheered with delight as the goal dropped, signalling the end of the game.
"To the girls' credit they just put it together and I couldn't be more proud of them," she said.
"They fought hard right until the end - it was fantastic to see.
"They kept pushing and pushing."
A few changes were made during the game.
League B Grade best and fairest winner Brianna Luciani was moved in to goal shooter.
"We were lucky this season to have a couple of more defenders so put a few different combinations on the court," Bigmore said,
"We switched some players on the mid-court as well. It just shows how much depth we have on our side.
"If one thing wasn't working we know we can change something around. It also keeps the opposition on their toes with having to re-adjust."
