AN Ararat man has had his licence suspended after he was caught drink-driving more than four times the legal limit.

Sergeant Jarrod Chatfield of Ararat said police randomly intercepted the man, 44, on Barkly Street, Ararat on Thursday night. Police breath tested the man.
"He returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.224, which is more than four times the legal limit," Sergeant Chatfield said.
"The man's licence was immediately suspended. He will appear at court at a later date."
