Stawell Warriors will take on Dimboola at Central Park on Saturday, the final home game for the season.
The Warriors will be looking to make amends of last week's efforts against the Rats in Ararat, going down by 59 points.
Coach Damian Joiner said he spoke with the players after last week's game and spoke about the expectations of the team.
"It was a bit of an eye-opener for us," he said.
"We can't get complacent on any aspect of the season. I think the players are well aware of it.
"We have two weeks to do what we can to rectify it before we head into finals."
Joiner said he hoped the opportunity to play the final home game for the season could inspire some players for this weeks game.
"We love playing at Central Park and we owe to it everyone around the club and ourselves to show a better effort," he said.
"Some players will be tested this week and see if they are available. If they are it will make selection a tough one, but it's a wait and see scenario."
Despite Dimboola not in a position to make finals, Joiner said he knows the opposition will be coming to play and make waves with the teams who have finals in its sight.
"They've had a good group over the past few seasons and started to put it together this year," he said.
"They've played some really good footy of late and we need to make sure we're up and about.
"We can't afford to go in at 60 or 70 per cent. We need to be at 100 per cent for all four quarters."
Stawell went down by eight points the last time the A Grade netball teams met in round eight.
A Grade co-coach Toni Stewart said it should be another close game this weekend.
"We've been mixing up some players and had some juniors come into the team which has been good," she said.
"It gives them the opportunity to get some senior games in and the experience.
"We would really love to finish our season with some wins and to get the win in front of a home crowd would be amazing."
