The clothing and accessory store caters for women of all ages and owner Adrienne Preston said she felt compelled to offer an at-home service for the elderly after discussing the needs of the residents with Eventide Homes employees.

"I know how hard it is for people to get out and about when it's cold and wet and it's even harder for those people who might not have the accessibility to get to the Main Street," she said.

"It was a great day out, a really good social outing for everyone, including me."

Mrs Preston said she handpicked a variety of clothing options and accessories to help people keep warm.

"Often the elderly are the ones who put themselves last," she said.

"They might not want to hassle a family member or friend when they need something.

"I thought this could be a way of residents still keeping some independence, despite needing some level of care within the home.

"I will be back there - I'm looking forward to chatting with all the ladies again."

Eventide Homes marketing and project manager Toni Williams said residents were thrilled with the visit.

"Many residents commented and said it was great to be able to view and purchase all the essentials without braving the cold," she said.
