Before the senior match players and spectators were part of a smoking ceremony.
Football operations manager Matthew Delzotto said it was pleasing to see so many people at the ground.
"There were people who are part of the wider Great Western community which was fantastic," he said.
"There was such an amazing feeling around the ground.
"It was such a special performance, one I know many people will remember forever."
Great Western had success on the football ground, defeating their opponents with a convincing score line.
BJ Birch-Burton booted six goals in the Lions win, 17.16 (118) to Tatyoon 6.12 (48).
