Club president Andrew Sharp said the club has spoken to its insurance company.
"Because it was malicious damage our insurance company has limited the amount they are willing to pay out to $50,000," he said.
"New greens cost about $127,000. If it is was storm damage we would have been given the full amount to get it replaced.
"The thing is we could probably find enough money to get it replaced but it isn't in our budget."
Mr Sharp said if the club was to replace the green it would use up any funds set aside for other projects.
"The green which was damaged was only six years old. We projected our other green would need replacing before this one was damaged," he said.
"We had already earmarked money to replace the older green, not to have to find money to replace the new one."
The club is forced to change greens for the upcoming bowls season.
"We are looking at playing bowls on the other green for the pennant season," Mr Sharp said.
"We will be able to play corporate bowls on the damaged green but eliminate one or two rinks.
"We are going to repair and patch as best as we can going forward and see how we go."
