The environmental organisation has held three 'plant out' events, encouraging people to come along and plant trees across the region.
More than 60 people were out and about for last weekend's event at Black Range, planting more than 3000 trees in one day.
"One of the great things to see was the amount of young families we had come along," Project Platypus local landcare facilitator Andrea Mitchell said.
"The rain we have had this week could not have come at a better time too."
Stawell Regional Health also got in on the initiative, with 15 staff members participating on Sunday.
"Everyone who attended had a terrific time. We definitely hope to do it again in the near future," Stawell Regional Health finance and business director Ian Martin said.
"Health care services including hospitals emit high levels of carbon in their day to day activities.
"Stawell Regional Health has a commitment to addressing emissions where we can, and assisting with a Project Platypus Plant Out helps us to demonstrate our commitment to the environment in our local community."
A final plant out will be held at Elmhurst this weekend, with registration required online before the event.
