Stawell Warriors finished fourth and will go up against Warrnambool Blues on Sunday, July 21 in an elimination final. The game starts at 12pm at Pedrina Park, Hamilton.
If successful, the Warriors will play the loser of the alternate fixture on Sunday, July 28.
AFL Western District operations coordinator Alicia Drew said she was pleased to present the fixture.
"This is the first time the league has presented an extended finals series, to be played over a three-week period, culminating in a night Grand Final on Friday, August 2, at the Melville Oval Hamilton," she said.
"It's a great evolution for the league, and well deserved for the clubs and players involved to really put themselves to the test in a true final series.
"I'm sure the girls are all extremely excited, and we wish them, their coaches and volunteers, all the best"
Stawell Warriors coach Rod Summers said the players have been rewarded with a finals appearance after putting in hard work all season.
"I am happy with girls improvement again this year as a team and individually," he said.
"We did get off to a slow start to the year, but really gelling now and working for each other.
"New players which have joined us this year have fitted well into our system and lots of players have played in different positions throughout the season which is showing great versatility.
"Most important aspect for me as their coach is they have seemed to enjoy their football, which is what the aim is, to make a fun learning environment for all."
