The competition consists of ten closed road sections in various state forests, with the route following more minor roads as much as possible.
Clerk of the course Graham Wallis said the idea to come to the Grampians was born in the 2018 rally.
"We re-ran part of an old rally from 1971 which when from Horsham through to Castlemaine," he said.
"When we were looking around we found a lot of little bits of state forest so we thought we could design a rally around those areas.
"We will be going from Stawell to Wartook on day one and going to St Arnaud on day two.
"There are some short patches in the forest - there's no competition just a few highlights along the way."
Mr Wallis said the vehicles are predominately '70s and '80s models.
"There will be Datsuns, Mitsubishi, Volvos and Mustangs," he said.
"If anyone was interested in coming and having a look at the cars they would be welcome to meet us at the Magdala Motor Lodge in Stawell at about 8.30 on both Saturday and Sunday morning."
