ARARAT will face the remainder of the season without gun player Kate Bligh after she injured her knee in the Wimmera Leage Round 9 match against Minyip-Murtoa.

The side has been waiting for confirmation of how severe injury was, but found out earlier this week.
"She has ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament and is out for the season," A Grade coach Taylor Mason said.
The side will head into the Round 12 match against Dimboola this weekend somewhat depleted.
"Our two Scott girls (Racquel and Monique) will be jet-setting off to Bali having a holiday, and we'll obviously be down Kate (Bligh) and Krystal Fisher as well," Mason said. "But our B and C grades are doing really well, so any players we pull up will do really well."
Talking about the upcoming match, Mason said the opposition should not be underestimated.
"Last time we met I think we won by seven goals, so even though looking at the ladder Ararat looks a lot stronger than Dimboola, it's definitely not the case when you front up on the court," she said.
Ararat is sitting at third place while Dimboola is holding sixth.
The two sides last met in round three at Alexandra Oval, but this time Dimboola will have the home ground advantage.
"We'll be looking at fronting up and playing a strong game," Mason said.
The team will focus on honing the basics as it heads into the season's second half.
"I think in the few weeks coming, we'll be focusing on the basics," Mason said. "I said to the girls on Saturday that we've got our defensive game down pat. All across the court we're playing fantastic defence.
"Now we need to get our attacking game right, so that's going to come down to the basics - passing, leading and things like that."
