The Baggies set goals going into the game aside from trying their hardest to win.

Defeated by 27 goals in round one, coach Courtney Morrow said her aim going into the game was to get closer to the unbeaten side.

"Natimuk are a premier side in the competition," she said.

"They are a well oiled machine and play some really great netball.

"Going up against them again was a challenge I couldn't wait for. I can see the improvement in the side and our performance today really demonstrates to the girls and our supporters where we are heading."

Swifts were off to a flyer in the first quarter - leading 7-2 in the first few moments.

Natimuk United collected themselves and like the experienced team they are, took control of the game and made the Baggies pay for errors.

"To the girls credit, they could of dropped their heads and given up in the first quarter after the lead changed," Morrow said.

"The scoreline didn't do it justice and I know we can sharpen up aspects of our game to not allow mistakes.

"That's what I wanted this game to be about. To be a showcase of how we can keep up with the best in the competition and also for the girls to see how teams at the top of the table play and where we need to strive to be."

The Baggies went into the first break 11 goals down. The second was much closer, 15-12 Natimuk's way.

"To know we won the third quarter against the reigning premiers should give the girls confidence," she said.

"We only just lost the last quarter as well.

"It was a close match despite what the scoreboard said and I couldn't be more proud of how the whole team played.

"We might not have got the victory on the board - but in my eyes there were too many victories to count."
