Open from 10am to 4pm on both days, Stawell's annual Winter Woollies Festival will have a range of wool-based garments on display and for sale.
Included in the event will be the region's craft experts on hand, demonstrating their skills.
Visitors are able to view all the processes involved in turning a sheep's fleece into a finished product.
Other demonstrations will include; carding - combing the fleece to straighten the fibres ready for spinning of felting, spinning - twisting the fibres to form yarn, weaving - intertwining the yarn in patterns to form cloth for woven shawls or scarves, and knitting or crochet - techniques used to turn yarn into garments. toys and other useful products.
Festival spokesperson Cherelle Nicholson said it was a fantastic community event.
"Every year the event is growing with more and more to offer visitors," she said.
"There will be beanies, berets and hats, gloves and socks, scarves and cowls, men's, women's, children's and babies clothing, toys, tea cosies and lots, lots more.
"Craftspeople from all over Victoria and beyond send their items to the festival organisers to be displayed and sold."
Mrs Nicholson said organisers have incorporated a something for everyone theme.
"Children too are catered for with pompom making workshop available throughout the day. They will be engrossed for an hour or so to allow mum and dad to have a great look around," she said.
"If you are a craftsperson yourself the 'stash table' might be of interest to you. Fleeces and various quantities of wool, as well as pattern books and magazines usually come in for sale.
"One of the features of this year's festival is the terrific raffle prizes on offer this year, the best ever. For a small donation at the door you could win a $1,000 family photography voucher, a beautiful hand spun and knitted sleeveless cardigan, a basket of craft items from Stawell's local craft store."
All money raised from the festival will be donated to support programs and activities at Stawell Neighbourhood House.
